For the children staying at home there are many resources here offering a great number of games, activities, songs, stories and videos to support and develop your child’s learning, there are sites suitable for both Pre-School and Reception children.  Have a look through the websites to find the best resources available for your children; there are some lovely websites for outdoor learning and activities.

  • Oxford Owl Free eBook Library Free eBooks collection of school reading books, developed for children aged 3–11 years olds. Available here, for the duration of UK school closures, so that your child has more to read.

Literacy Home Learning Resources

  • Alphablocks Perfect for Pre-School children. Watch as the letters of the alphabet tell stories and make words using phonics. Play the learning game, watch clips and print colouring pages.

Maths Home Learning Resources

  • White Rose Maths - Daily Maths Lessons The White Rose Maths Team has prepared a series of five maths lessons per week for each year group. Every lesson comes with a short video showing you clearly and simply how to help your child to complete the activity successfully.

  • The Numtums Perfect for Pre-School children. Here come the Numtums, the adventurous creatures with numbers on their tummies. Play maths games, watch clips and sing songs.

  • Play Bud's Number Garden A great educational game, children will be able to join Bud the bee, explore his magical garden and practise recognising numbers, counting, sequencing and much more!

  • TWINKL Home Learning Hub Each day you'll find a new set of daily activities to get involved with. The Home Learning Hub will provide book readings, live lessons, positive news updates and more. They will bring daily activities to help fill your days and offer some much-needed variety. Activities will be listed the day before - giving you enough time to get prepped and set up for the next day's learning.

Starter Activities for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)

Starters for STEM are ten fun and exciting activities that parents can use at home to help children develop their science, technology, engineering and maths skills. These activities are easy-to-resource and provide children with the stimulus to talk about the world around them.
